A very interesting change: The new Photoshop allows the new “smart” selection functions (and the project management) only on the [Log] view. Selecting objects on the Develop view now results in a dialog box without any functionality whatever. So, all the work that you did while you were on the [Log] view is now lost. The Photoshop team claims that their goal is that you never lose any work because the [Log] view is only available in the [Auto] mode. But this obviously also means that used in [View] mode, where realistic view results can be achieved, it is not possible anymore to work with a “smart” selection as is a normal “here, now” situation. The dialog box asked for approval. Whoop-whoop, no problem, seems to be the reply.
The update also includes new printing options and more features for color range and red-eye removal. Imported photos now appear in a separate color-mode preview window in a new Shooting Settings section of the Preferences dialog.

* Object Selection Add-On. When enabled, this new technology can detect objects in the image, but it’s not yet possible to select those objects using the standard Photoshop Tool Bar Select tool or other tools. * Additional Object Selection improvements. Objects can now be selected selectively using Adobe’s new Selective Color technology.
